Liminal Spaces

Visual Grids

During the pandemic we all were stuck in our houses, not looking at the outside world. I started observing the world around me and my surroundings in different ways. I looked outside my window wondering what makes one place different from another. I soon started drawing out similarities.

Passages Liminal Spaces

I scrolled through my phone gallery, gathering images I photographed in different countries. The images collected consisted of landscapes, museums, passages, food, doors, windows, and staircases.

Architecture is said to be inspired by nature, and hence I started placing images of nature and architecture next to each other. I started to look for formal relationships between these images by observing the elements, shapes, patterns, colors, and depth.

The video and book are a collection of images through my perspective lens, challenging the reader also to form their own perspectives.
